Interested in wine but don't know where to start? On Sunday 3rd March we are running WSET globally accredited beginner Wine Courses hosted by Wine Educator Luisa Salussolia, who will empower you to sip, serve, pair and simply enjoy wine with confidence, on this interactive and fun all-day course.
The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) are accredited wine qualifications that are globally recognised as the international standard in wine knowledge. They are designed for anyone who wants to learn about wine in a fun, concentrated, structured way or those considering a career in the wine industry.
For those new to wine, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles through sight, smell and taste, whilst gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately and learn how to pair wine with food. Upon successful completion you will receive the internationally recognised WSET certificate.

Together we will cover wine tasting, identifying wine styles, key stages in grape growing and wine making, storing and serving wine and food and wine pairing principles. No previous knowledge of wine is necessary to attend.
The straightforward 45 minute multiple choice exam consists of 30 questions. The pass mark is 70% and achievable! This is taken at the end of the last Tuesday classroom lesson
There will be a lunch break and should you order food at the Riverhouse this is in addition to the ticket cost and will be payable on the day.
