Meet Suzi "I love podcasts, which is good because I spend most of my time creating new ones with brilliant businesses, charities and broadcasters. As a journalist, I started my career making tea and editing interviews for BBC Radio Merseyside and studying for my PG Diploma in Broadcast Journalism at UCLAN. I went on to join BBC Radio York and BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat in London, which was a fantastic place to learn with a brilliant team. I’ve worked in the Middle East, developing and leading news teams for Dubai Eye and Dubai 92. Since then, I’ve worked on programmes for BBC Radio 5 Live, award-winning station National Prison Radio, and developed my own teaching of radio production and podcasting. I co-founded Story Publishing in 2018 and lead the audio side of the business. In the past five years my work has been nominated at the British Podcast Awards and I spend a lot of my time helping people to find their voices through podcasting." |
