Interested in wine but don't know where to start? Over three consecutive Tuesday evenings, Luisa Salussolia, WSET Certified Wine Educator, will be running WSET globally accredited beginner Wine Courses, that will empower you to sip, serve, pair and simply enjoy wine with confidence.
The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) are accredited wine qualifications that are globally recognised as the international standard in wine knowledge. They are designed for anyone who wants to learn about wine in a fun, concentrated, structured way or those considering a career in the wine industry. Luisa is an Approved Programme Provider of WSET Wine Qualifications.
For those new to wine, this interactive and fun course provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles through sight, smell and taste, whilst gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately and learn how to pair wine with food. Upon successful completion you will receive the internationally recognised WSET certificate -WSET LEVEL 1 Award In Wines.
Three consecutive Tuesday evenings 7 - 9pm, starting Tuesday 25th Jan, Tuesday 1st February, Tuesday 8th February.
Fees include: Study materials, use of tasting glasses, all wine samples, WSET tuition with Luisa and WSET multiple choice 45 minute examination (plus globally recognised WSET certificate and lapel pin)
Together we will cover wine tasting, identifying wine styles, key stages in grape growing and wine making, storing and serving wine and food and wine pairing principles. No previous knowledge of wine is necessary to attend.
The straightforward 45 minute multiple choice exam consists of 30 questions. The pass mark is 70% and achievable! This is taken at the end of the last Tuesday classroom lesson.
