Pressure to Performance

Monday 15th December | 3pm - 5pm

Hosted by James McLaughlin & Oliver Hoskins of AEVOS Performance

Train Your Mind Like an Athlete. Optimise Your Performance Under Pressure. Pressure isn’t the problem. It’s the key.

This workshop reveals how to use pressure as fuel, optimise your performance when the stakes rise and build the behavioural foundations elite athletes depend on every day.

You’ll learn a healthier, more holistic way to think, move and perform under pressure, empowering you to bring your best self to every challenge.

What You’ll Experience

Powered by Play: you’ll take part in fun, dynamic activities that symbolise how pressure shapes performance and mirror the situations you face in everyday life:

● rising deadlines

● multitasking

● social pressure

● fear of mistakes

● performance drop-offs under stress

Each activity is designed to surface your behavioural patterns in real time. As the pressure increases, you’ll feel your habits shift, your thinking change and your behaviour adapt. You’ll see exactly how you respond under load in a safe, supportive environment, then learn the tools used at the highest levels of professional sport to unlock your full potential.

We offer you growth through play. It’s fun, collaborative and gamified but most importantly, it gives you a level of insight that no lecture or slide show can match. We learn best by doing, and through doing, we take you on a journey of transformation.

What You’ll Learn

● Your Pressure Signature

Through applied activities and group debriefing, you’ll identify the exact moment your performance shifts under pressure and understand why.

● Performance Pyramid & Behavioural Operating System

You will learn how to integrate personalised Pillars, Process and Execution, which form the core of our cognitive-behavioural operating system of performance to keep you calmer, clearer and more effective under stress.

● A changing philosophy to Pressure

See how athletes turn pressure into performance by sharpening focus and elevating execution when it matters most. The impact of pressure on all of us is universally the same, but how it affects you depends entirely on your relationship with it. Learning how to apply this principle to everyday life will strengthen the foundations of your operating system by turning pressure into opportunity over adversity in whatever you do.

● Rapid Precision Under Impossible Deadlines

Why composure beats speed. Every time.

What You’ll Walk Away With

● A new understanding of how you behave under pressure

● Practical tools to improve performance, decision-making and composure

● The confidence to step into pressure instead of shrinking from it

● A mindset used in elite sport, adapted for real life and work

● An intuitive performance playbook that acts as your growth compass long after our workshop is finished

Our Promise We don’t teach theory. We let you feel it. We teach human performance in an environment you can trust. You’ll arrive curious. But you’ll leave clearer, calmer and capable of performing at your best, even through uncertainty and when everything around you shifts. Because pressure isn’t your enemy or something to fear. It reveals you. And with the right tools, it builds you. It can become the greatest ally you’ve ever had. It was for us. And it can be for you.

James McLaughlin is a former professional cyclist who represented Great Britain and competed in three Commonwealth Games before a life-changing accident forced him to rebuild his career and identity from the ground up. From this journey he co-founded AEVOS, a human performance operating system that helps leaders and teams thrive rather than survive under pressure - delivered through applied learning workshops and applying the unique insight of elite sport and trauma rehabilitation into a system of performance growth for both businesses and individuals.

Oliver Hoskins is a recently retired professional rugby player whose 18-year career spanned the Western Force, London Irish, and Saracens, as well as representing Australia at Twickenham. He is the other half of AEVOS - now drawing on his experience from the highest levels of the game, together with James, he works to redefine performance culture as a measurable capacity. Through dynamic and engaging group activities, they help teams and individuals track and transform human potential, turning pressure into lasting momentum.
